Paradise Lost - Lawrie Lock March 3rd 1942 - September 3rd 2018

Lawrie and I smooching at Sergio's
Lawrie discovered as a teenager that dancing was the best way to make a girl fall in love!
Anne Murray: Could I have this dance for the rest of my life?
We danced to this song on our wedding day

I'll always remember, the song they were playing
The first time we danced, and I knew
As we swayed to the music, and held to each other
I fell in love with you

Could I have this dance, for the rest of my life
Could you be my partner, every night
When we're together, it feels so right
Could I have this dance for the rest of my life

I'll always remember, that magic moment
When I held you close, to me
As we moved together, I knew forever
You're all I'll ever need

Could I have this dance, for the rest of my life
Could you be my partner, every night
When we're together, it feels so right
Could I have this dance, for the rest of my life

Michelle Wright - another favourite

I just realized tonight
You're not like all the others
Till now I never wanted love I only wanted lovers
Now me and you have things to do
And no time to be wrong
'cause life is just a circle and the circle ain't that long

You get one time around
One roll of the dice
One walk through the garden
One quick look at life
The time that you lose
Can never be found
The world keeps turning
You get one time around
You get one time around

Hi Lynda, we met Lawrie a few summers ago when we stayed a Punta Piedre. We chit chatted with him for a while... he told us about how y’all rescued Sparky & how Thomas the cat loved to drink water that puddles in the coral rock on the beach. He left such an impression on us because he seemed so content. Retired, hanging on the beach with his cat, dog & a glass of red wine. In fact, every time we’re back on the island & pass y’all a house we say “there’s Lawries house”. I’m so sorry to hear about his illness & passing. Much love from us in Texas.

Thank you for sharing your heartwarming story of a life well lived. Lawrie and you have been a great inspiration to many grateful readers. I mourn his loss, but celebrate his courage to live at full speed and out loud. Virtual hugs to you, Lynda.
